What Is an Order Modification?
An Order Modification allows your support team to update eligible items on an unfulfilled order by switching them to another variant under the same product. This is useful when a shopper needs a different size, color, flavor, or other available variant after the order has been placed.
With an Order Modification:
Only unfulfilled orders can be modified
Items can only be switched to another variant under the same product
Items within a bundle can also be switched to another variant under the same product
Upgraded items are not supported for modification
No additional charges can be collected from shoppers
Refunds can be issued when needed
Each modification is clearly shown in the order for easy tracking
Shoppers receive an order confirmation email after the modification
How to Complete an Order Modification
Find the original unfulfilled order
Click "··· Actions"
Select "Modify Order"
Change the variant for the eligible item
Issue a refund, if needed
If your store is connected to Shopify, please issue the refund directly inside your Shopify store
If your store is not connected to Shopify, process the refund on the GiddyUp side
You're done!
