Efficiently manage your brand's essential details to ensure compliance, facilitate communication, and enhance customer experiences. In this guide, we'll explore how to configure company information, tax registrations, brand logo, contacts, addresses, return policies, and platform time zones.
Company Details
Enter your Company Details to meet accounting and legal requirements. Provide accurate information for tax purposes, including primary tax registration and IOSS tax registration for other countries. Ensure compliance and transparency in your business operations.
Primary Tax Registration / Tax Registration in Other Countries
Add primary tax registration details including country, entity type, legal entity name, and Tax or Employee ID Number. Additionally, register for IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) and individually register for country-specific tax collection within the European Union.
Brand Details
In this section, you will be required to fill in your brand's details. Please provide the following information:
Brand Name: Enter your official brand name.
Friendly Short Name (Order Slug): This is very important as it will be the prefix slug added to your order numbers on sales. Choose a short, friendly name that represents your brand.
Year Founded: Specify the year your brand was established.
Account Status: Set the status of your account.
Note: Platform Support will need to update this section. If you wish to make changes please reach out to support.
Brand Assets
Add your logo, icon, and brand colors to personalize your presence across The GiddyUp Platform. These assets are used in shopper-facing communications, internal platform views, and automated emails.
Logo
Upload a high-resolution version of your brand logo. This logo is used in shopper-facing communications and helps reinforce brand recognition and trust.
Requirements for new brands:
Uploading a Brand Logo is required during initial brand setup.
The Icon field is optional at the time of creation.
If no Icon is uploaded, the platform will automatically set the Icon to the same image as the Brand Logo one time only during initial setup.
Important behavior to note:
If the Brand Logo is updated in the future, the Icon will not automatically update.
Any changes to the Icon after brand creation must be made manually.
Icon
Upload a square icon to be used internally within the platform and as the favicon in web browsers.
If an Icon is not uploaded during initial brand creation, the platform will default to using the Brand Logo as the Icon. This automatic behavior occurs only once.
Brand Colors
Select your Primary and Secondary brand colors. These colors are used throughout platform experiences and automated communications.
Abandoned Cart usage:
The Primary Brand Color is used in Abandoned Cart emails, including the main CTA button.
If a selected color is very bright or highly saturated, the CTA button text will automatically switch to black for readability.
The “Free Shipping” and “Only…” text elements will remain very light regardless of CTA text color.
Important design note:
When choosing light or bright colors, please keep contrast and legibility in mind, as color selection directly impacts how Abandoned Cart emails appear to shoppers.
Field Permissions After Activation
Once a brand is set to Active:
Brand Logo and Icon fields become locked.
Only GU STAFF can modify the Logo or Icon.
Brands must contact Platform Support to request updates after activation.
This ensures brand consistency, prevents accidental changes, and maintains platform-wide compliance.
Managing Contacts
Designate primary contacts for billing, support, and internal support escalation. Streamline communication channels by ensuring that relevant stakeholders are easily accessible and reachable. Effective contact management is key to efficient collaboration and customer support.
Configuring Platform Time Zone
Set your platform's time zone to ensure accurate scheduling, reporting, and data management. Note that The GiddyUp Group operates in Pacific Standard Time (PST) or UTC-08:00, so always reference PST when reviewing invoices and reports for accurate time representation.
