Billing & Payouts Overview

A guide to how GiddyUp collects fees, processes payouts, and handles refunds and adjustments — with links to detailed articles for each topic.

How Billing Works

GiddyUp uses a system called Split Pay to automatically collect platform fees from each transaction — no manual invoicing in most cases. Fees are deducted directly from transaction proceeds at the time of sale. If a transaction doesn't cover the full fee, GiddyUp collects the remaining balance from your connected Stripe account. In cases where automatic collection isn't possible, an invoice will be issued.

Fees

All transactions are subject to a 2.9% platform fee (on the total amount less sales tax), plus standard payment processing fees that vary by provider and currency. Additional fees may apply for international transactions, premium cards, Buy Now Pay Later, disputes, and certain integrations like Shopify.

Payouts

Brands receive Stripe payouts weekly on Wednesdays. No action is required — your payout schedule is set automatically. Allow a few days for the payment to appear in your account. If your payout hasn't arrived after five business days, contact support@giddyup.io or reach out via the platform.

Refunds & Adjustments

Refunds and adjustments appear as line items in your payout summary. A refund reflects a returned order; an adjustment reflects a correction or fee true-up. Both reduce your net payout for the period in which they're processed.

Payment Gateways

GiddyUp requires two connected payment gateways: Stripe and PayPal. Stripe is used for payouts to your bank account; PayPal is used to process certain shopper transactions. Both must be connected before your offer can go live.

Recent Billing Update

In September 2025, GiddyUp rolled out an updated billing model designed to reduce manual invoicing and simplify cash flow management for brands.
